TCIL
is the exclusive distributor of Nissan
motor vehicles in Singapore. Nissan is a leading brand in
this competitive market. Within the passenger vehicle category,
many Nissan models are available in Singapore, including small,
mid-size, full-size, luxury and recreational models. A comprehensive
range of light commercial vehicles are also sold in Singapore.

For
auto parts, TCIL has interests in vehicle seat manufacturing plants
in Wuxi and Xiamen, as well as a shock absorber plant in Jiangyin.
For vehicles,
TCIL has invested in a joint venture to manufacture passenger
vehicles in Guizhou in cooperation with Fuji Heavy Industries,
Marubeni Corporation and Guizhou Aviation.
Additionally,
TCIL has invested in a truck-manufacturing project in Hangzhou.
Other partners in this venture include Nissan Diesel, Sumitomo
Corporation and Dong Feng Motor Company, one of the largest auto
manufacturers in China.

Commercial
vehicles and industrial equipment distribution are other areas in
which TCIL has major interests.
In Singapore,
the Group is the sole distributor for Nissan Diesel commercial
vehicles, buses and specialised vehicles. Nissan Diesel is a leading
brand in Singapore. Nissan forklift trucks are also distributed
in Singapore by TCIL.

TCIL
has accumulated a sizeable property portfolio in Singapore. The
properties owned by the Group include premises held for operational
needs, such as its Nissan showroom at the Tan Chong Motor Centre
and its Subaru Showroom and Service Centre, as well as a number
of investment properties. The properties held for investment include
Tan Chong Tower,
a 19-storey tower in the centre of Singapore,
The Wilby Residence,
a complex of 181 luxury apartments in an up-market
residential area and several plots of land suitable for residential
development in the future.

Over
the years, the Group has expanded into complementary business, such
as motor finance, tyre distribution, car rental and leasing, as
well as property development and the manufacture of passenger vehicles
in Guizhou in cooperation with Fuji Heavy Industries, Marubeni Corporation
